The past year we have lived our days in a different manner. Each one of us experiences this unforeseen period in his/her own way. I started this painting to capture that exact unfolding of life. The woman on this painting is wrapped in her own small world. A representation of not being able to see and visit family whenever we want, a representation of the restrictions in how we work and how we spent our private life. A restriction on life itself…
Although being wrapped into your own small world might seem sufficating, that same wrapping can offer a total new perspective on life. Because by deliberately having to take a step back, transparancy into your life itself makes place to unfold beauty. The beauty of this woman wrapped in transparant foil represents that even in difficult and hard times, one can create beautiful things.

Once you enjoyed the wine, you can roll the certificate up in a bottle like a bad-ass pirate.
